Overview
The Michener Art Museum needed a visual identity that respected its legacy while improving visual clarity and consistency. I led the refresh to create a structured, cohesive system adaptable across print and digital formats.

Challenge
The museum’s identity was dated, inconsistent, and difficult to apply. Internal teams lacked clear guidelines, leading to misaligned materials and fragmented communication.

Approach
I worked iteratively, testing layouts and templates to ensure usability. A large portion of the inspiration was drawn from the museum’s architecture, surrounding landscape, and founder’s legacy.

Solution
I developed a flexible brand system rooted in the museum’s architecture and mission. The new identity balanced formality and warmth, using geometric typography, a soft color palette, and grid-based layouts.

Impact
In all, the museum's team can adopt the system quickly and begin using it across departments. The refreshed brand identity reflects the museum’s professionalism and care.
